Program review
Compare current policies, procedures, records, and field practices with the applicable audit and certifying-partner requirements.

Defender helps Alberta companies organize their safety program, maintain required evidence, close open actions, and prepare workers and records for a COR or SECOR audit.
This service is for employers preparing for an initial audit, maintaining an existing certificate, responding to audit findings, or improving a program that is difficult to administer. Defender is SECOR certified and understands the practical requirements of a small-employer program.
Compare current policies, procedures, records, and field practices with the applicable audit and certifying-partner requirements.
Organize inspections, meetings, orientations, training records, hazard assessments, corrective actions, and supporting documents.
Assign gaps, track completion, verify evidence, and keep management informed of items that remain open.
Help managers, supervisors, and workers understand the program and answer audit questions using their actual work practices.
SECOR is the small-employer program used by eligible organizations with ten or fewer employees. COR applies to larger employers. The certifying partner confirms the applicable program and audit requirements.
No. Defender is SECOR certified. Defender supports client readiness, maintenance, evidence, and action closure but does not claim COR certification for itself.
Defender provides implementation and readiness support. The client’s certification audit must be completed through the applicable certifying partner and an eligible auditor. Defender does not award certification or guarantee an audit result.
Eligible small employers can participate in SECOR through an approved certifying partner. Eligibility and current requirements should be confirmed directly with that partner.
Share the work, locations, workforce, deadlines, and current program status. Defender will confirm whether the service fits and identify the next step.
