What is the difference between COR and SECOR in Alberta?
SECOR is the small-employer program used by eligible organizations with ten or fewer employees. COR applies to larger employers. The certifying partner confirms the applicable program and audit requirements.
Is Defender COR certified?
No. Defender is SECOR certified. Defender supports client readiness, maintenance, evidence, and action closure but does not claim COR certification for itself.
Can Defender perform our certification audit?
Defender provides implementation and readiness support. The client’s certification audit must be completed through the applicable certifying partner and an eligible auditor. Defender does not award certification or guarantee an audit result.
Can a small contractor get SECOR?
Eligible small employers can participate in SECOR through an approved certifying partner. Eligibility and current requirements should be confirmed directly with that partner.
